8/9/2009 - With a sold out crowd in tow
local personalities take on the Feinberg's Metals Recycling
Eve of Destruction at the Lee County Speedway
DONNELLSON, IA (August 8) - Local talents along with the
some the speedway's familiar faces entertained the sold out
crowd on August 8 with Bus Races, Figure 8 Trailer Races,
Mini Van Demo Derby, Figure 8 Races, and the very popular
roll over contest.
Matt Sugars of Fort Madison, Iowa took the checkers in the
Bus Races.
Sugars could have previously been
found in the big grey school bus selling race parts at the
speedway, when Lawson Racing Supply upgraded the parts
vehicle Sugars took the opportunity to participate in the
bus races. Also racing school buses was track official Jay
Kirchner, Donnellson, Iowa, Hobby Stock & Wild Thing driver
Chuck Fullenkamp, Fort Madison, Hobby Stock driver Jeremy
Pundt, Donnellson, Iowa, Modified driver Michael Browning,
Farmington, and Sport Mod driver Rodger Dresden, Keokuk
along with three drivers from Oskaloosa, Iowa.
With the great response from drivers & fans this will
definitely become an annual event for the speedway. For
